The Lowdown

All details were correct at the time of writing (Aug/Sep 1999).

All Stars

Team Pool: PR^Spanjab, PR^Trendy, PR^Sticky Tool, [KC]Grom.

PR^Spanjab and [KC]Grom faced us in the last season, and I think we would have preferred they hadn't ;) A nasty 49-2 defeat, with the highlights being the two Prophets participating, (Caldazar & Evil Santa), managing to frag each other as many times as the opposition, and Caldazar managing to frag [KC]Grom with the GL as he jumped through a 'window' :)) (..never did hear the end of that >;)    ). I haven't personally seen Sticky Tool play but he can't be that bad or he wouldn't be in [PR]. As for Trendy, well myself and Cal are 'old' Clan-mates of his, and he can play well when he wants to.

Tip for the match: Keep that Quad away from ALL of them (did I hear someone say *cough* timer *cough*?)  >;)

Dogs of War

Team Pool: FC:RahketRunner, Guru, [FFM]Wedginator, [FFM]BobNT.

?? Haven't a clue. Still prolly manage to throw a few rockets at our heads though ;)

Tip for the match: Let's do it to them before they do it to us. I'll leave the definition of 'it' up to you, although personally, I would prefer it if you stuck a rocket there >;)

Atomic Guard

Team Pool: [TAG]Viz or Visitor, [TAG]Dr-Phil.

Good laugh these lads. They've been around the 2v2's for a while now. I think Dark Prophecy has played them about 3 or 4 times, but only one of these was an official match :) Pretty evenly matched so far, this should be a fun game.

Tip for the match: Let's try to shoot the OPPOSITION this time okay? ;)

Hev 'n' Sent

Team Pool: [LL]Sentinel, [KC]TicsDad, [KC]Jagz.

The League Admins (Sentinel & TicsDad) make their appearance as players. What can you say about these two?  Mischievous, cunning, strange, warped individuals (hmmm, maybe those last two apply only to TicsDad ;)  ). A fellow Clanmate of TicsDad, Jagz can use a nasty RG (great, something else to look out for ;) ). This team is out for a laugh but are good players when they want to be. Another two souls from the old [SEX] clan, (Sent & Dad), this game will almost be a reunion :) Personally, I'm looking forward to this one, someone needs to give TicsDad a good spanking (but this time, he won't even have to pay for it  >;)  ).

Tip for the match: Keep talking to TicsDad about his zimmer frame getting rusty. He'll be so busy discussing it with you, that it should become a 2v1 :)

Wh00p

Team Pool: [SS]Facedancer, [SS]Superted, [HIV]Reaper, [SS]DrUgS.

Ummm....fair's fair lads, but how about we get to field 5 people in this one? ;) I don't think it will be any of these guys who will be 'suiciding'. Did someone say we could get Thresh?  ;)

Tip for the match: Find a hole and hide. Just pray they don't find you >;)

Richies

Team Pool: [Rv]TicShadow, [Rv]Vorvavoo, [Rv]JK.

*Ulp* This doesn't get any easier does it? Rv topped Division1 of the Wireplay Deathmatch League last season, so you can bet your bottom dollar these guys know about teamwork. Tic has improved a lot since his departure from [SEX], and he was irritating enough with the RG back then as well ;) Vorv? Just stay away from him, and JK?....ditto ;)

Tip for the match: See tip above...

LPB Scum

Team Pool: [CoG]Aphrodite, [CoG]Mescaline, [CoG]E^Z.

Someone 'up there' really doesn't like us a whole lot, do they? CoG.....Children of Gaia, more like the CoGs in a well-oiled machine..all excellent players and very organised as a team: exactly the opposite of us then   >;)  Did someone say "Ouch!"?

Tip for the match: Keep Mescaline away from the RG, E^Z away from the RG and RL and don't try to soft-talk Aph, she's heard it all before and is more likely to shove a slug through your head than say "Thank you, you're so kind". (Mind you, she may do both ;)  ). Oh, and one last tip: read the last two tips above >;)
